Clean water. (We take for granted modern conveniences such as even the simplest: clean water. But promoting sanitation and clean water in these villages can reduce infant deaths by 80%.)

One of the rooms in Punacancha's village school. (Most villagers speak Quechua, the traditional Incan language, and not Spanish. By fostering a basic school the next generation can have a leg up with basic math, science, and Spanish so they can better trade goods with the cities in the valleys below.)
