Notre-Dame just after sundown.
Sunset over the Seine looking toward the Orsay museum.
From near Notre-Dame the scene of La Seine and La Tour Eiffel was stupendous. The sunset managed to squeeze through the cold dreary gray. For the sunset shots I drew my thick scarf into a pile and set up a camera holder on the pedestrian handrail overlooking the river.

Greg stirring up trouble with the local pigeon population as we passed the Place de la Revolution and headed down the Avenue des Champs-Elysees.Used PS channel mixer to produce more vivid black and white.
"Peace" in languages of the world.
Although hazy and cold, the view from the Eiffel Tower is stunning. We rushed to take a few photos before cramming back into the elevator back to the ground where it was ten degrees warmer.
Tourists enjoy a tender moment in spite of the bitter cold.
Sweeping long staircases outside this museum attracted the local thrill-seekers. This daredevil raced down multiple flights backward on his inline skates. (No pedestrians were harmed during the making of this photo.)I'm still trying my hand at panning shots and not very good at it. This was more challenging since I barely got the camera from its case in time to snap the photo. I wanted to ask him to do it again, but, well . . . je ne parle pas francais.
